HumpMoodle (“the extension”) is a browser extension that reads question text on the page you are viewing and displays an AI-generated answer beside it.
This policy explains exactly what the extension does with data. It is short because the extension does very little.
This extension is published by an independent developer. There is no company server, no backend and no account system.

The following is stored locally in your browser profile using the Chrome
storage API. It never leaves your browser except as described below.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your DeepSeek API key | To authenticate your requests to the DeepSeek API |
| Optional vision API key and base URL | Only if you enable screenshot mode |
| Model choice, answer style, answer text colour, on/off toggle | Your preferences |
The extension does not store question text, answers, page content, browsing history, or screenshots. Results live in the page you are on and disappear when you close or reload it.
When you turn answers on or press a shortcut, the extension sends the following
directly from your browser to the DeepSeek API at
https://api.deepseek.com:
If you explicitly enable screenshot mode, an image of the visible tab is sent to the OpenAI-compatible vision endpoint that you configure yourself, using the separate key you provide.
That is the complete list of network destinations. Your data is then handled by DeepSeek (or your chosen vision provider) under their own privacy policy: deepseek.com/privacy.
The extension has permission to run on the pages you visit so that it can find questions and place answers next to them. It only reads page text when you have turned answers on or pressed one of its shortcuts. Page text is used solely to build the question sent to the AI provider, and is discarded immediately after.
Everything the extension stores is local. To delete it, either clear the fields
in the extension’s settings page, or remove the extension from
chrome://extensions — Chrome deletes its storage along with it.
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL and the date at the top will change.
